The authors examined the policies and practices of 26 government entities and interviewed 32 government communicators.

New National Terrorism Alert System

As of April 21, the federal government issued new guidelines and methods of alerting the public to potential terrorism dangers. It is important for everyone in government emergency management–and the private sector as well– to coordinate in this effort.
